Joint statement concerning the implementation of Directive 2010/65/EU by ECSA, FEPORT and WSC 

In a Joint Statement of 25 February 2015, the EU stakeholder organisations ECSA, FEPORT, and WSC have expressed their concern on the impact of the implementation date of 1 June 2015 for business.  In their Joint Statement it is stated that "industry still lacks the key information they need to adapt to the multiplicity of new IT and operational requirements to be implemented from 1 June 2015 as a result of new single windows. This may have a practical negative impact on vessel transit time. "

On behalf of their members ECSA, FEPORT and WSC request Member States to keep their existing mechanisms for reporting formalies beyond 1 June 2015 open, and to obtain a list of contact points per EU Member State. During the AnNa Industry Panel meeting on 21 January 2015 the AnNa project was also requested to provide such a list.
