PROJECT DESCRIPTION

AnNa is an EU Member States driven project - in close co-operation with the European Commission and EMSA - to support the effective implementation of the EC Directive 2010/65/EU (Reporting Formalities for Ships arriving in/departing from EU ports).

The AnNa project is an EC TEN-T Motorways of the Sea 2012 Multi Annual Call project.

AnNa fosters a harmonized approach for Administrative Facilitation:

·       to reduce red tape for users (business)

·       to parse IT languages and

·       to exchange data between national (Maritime Single Window) networks.

AnNa supports (system) integration of national Maritime Single Window development (ship-to-shore and between the various services/administrations) also to allow for effective and sustainable communication between the national systems, including SafeSeaNet (SSN).  Rationalisation, Standardisation and Interoperability are key.

AnNa works in the Action zone - based on a bottom-up work approach – to assist national administration to build the Maritime Single Windows and to allow constant interaction between the various Administrations and Businesses.

AnNa undertakes three major actions:

  • National scenarios and mechanisms for gauging natinal implementation
  • Framework to identify the opportunities for standardisation and harmonisation
PILOT PROJECTS

  • Mid Office - electronic data exchange between the national (internal) administratons
  • Back Office - electronic data exchange between the participating countries including exchange mechanisms (e.g. SSN)
